Bus Drivers Needed

Benefits:

• Work 4 hours per day (2 in the morning & 2 in the afternoon)
• Starting salary = $16.28 per hour
• Health Insurance Benefits of $4,944.00 per year provided by PPSD
• Sick Leave Benefits provided by PPSD
• PPSD will reimburse drivers the expense of obtaining a CDL with passenger endorsement ($81)
• Bus Driver Training provided by PPSD

Qualifications: 

• Must be 21 years of age
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Satisfactory criminal background check
• Satisfactory driving record to include no more than two traffic violations in the past three years
• Satisfactory employment record
• Currently possess or be willing to obtain a Class B Commercial Driver’s License with P and S endorsements
• Be able to pass all training required by Mississippi Department of Education and Pearl Public School District
• Must be “insurable” by the PPSD insurance carrier
• Be able to perform preventative maintenance inspections on bus
• Be willing to submit to a Department of Transportation “physical” examination
• Have no known medical condition or clinical diagnosis of any condition that could be detrimental to the safety of the students being transported.
