My name is Laura West and I am originally from Natchez, MS.  I live in Jackson, MS with my dog Lexie.  She is a 15 month old labrador retriever.  I have an older sister and a 3-year-old niece that live in Madison. I received my degree in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2004.  I began my teaching career in North Louisiana and taught Kindergarten there for three years.  I moved to Jackson, MS in the summer of 2008 and began teaching at Pearl Lower Elementary in August of 2008.  It has been a wonderful 14 years in Pearl and I look forward to many more!
