This year will be my nineth year teaching first graders. I graduated from Delta State University in May 2015. I earned my Masters Degree in May 2017.
I have been married to my wonderful husband for 30+ years. When I am not at work you will find me with him. We seem to be a package deal and enjoy spending time together. We also like to spend our time with our friends and children camping, hiking, and kayaking. We also enjoy spending time volunteering at our church.
I enjoy long hikes and long camping trips. My dream is to camp in every state in the United States. Yes, Hawaii and Alaska will pose some problems. Where there's a will, there's a way. So far, we have been camping in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.
I like food. A good ol' juicy hamburger, fajitas, anything Alfredo, and coconut shrimp (and many other things) are a few of my favorites. I like Vanilla Coke and Dr. Pepper. My favorite candy is candy corn. My favorite candy bar teeters between a Butterfinger or Reese' Peanut Butter Cup. My favorite scents are Japanese Cherry Blossom, vanilla and gingerbread. Yes, I collect stuff; but, I'm trying to declutter my life, so I'm trying to stop collecting. I would rather spend time with friends and family than dust things.
