Hello!

I am so glad to have your child in my class! The skills we practice daily in first grade are the building blocks for your child's future success in school and in life. I know if we all work together, we can make this a wonderful year for our students and help them reach each goal that is set for them.

This is my fifth year at PLE however, this will start my eighth year teaching. I taught Kindergarten and I have taught both third (half a year) and fourth (two years) grade. I am extremely excited to have your child in my First Grade class this year! I have a Bachelor's Degree from Mississippi College in Elementary Education, a Master's Degree from The University of Mississippi in Elementary Curriculum and Instruction, and a Specialist Degree from Mississippi College in Educator Leadership. My Assistant is Mrs. Kristin Tyus and this is her first year at PLE, she is working on her teaching degree and we are so happy to have her!
